Riordan and Associates
Kansas City, MO.

For many years, Mike Riordan played an important role in the growth and success of Copy Corporation. More than a consultant, Mike became a longtime friend and mentor.  He was someone whose advice I came to value greatly.

Mike worked with Copy Corporation extensively in recruiting, hiring, Team Building, and management development. But what made his contribution especially valuable was that he understood something that many companies overlooked: a successful business is built by finding the right people with Team Fit  and creating an environment where they everyone can succeed together.

We were in the office equipment business, but ultimately, we were a people business. We could sell the best equipment available, but our reputation depended upon the people who sold it, installed it, serviced it, answered the telephone, handled the paperwork, solved problems and took care of our customers every day.

Mike taught us that recruiting should never begin only after someone left the company.  We should always be recruiting!

That was good advice then, and it is still good advice today.

I spoke with Mike in May 2026. He is now retired but continues to consult with one large company in Kansas City.

Mike and Kathy's children, Jake and Mollie, have given them five grandchildren, all living about twenty minutes of Mike and Kathy. And some things never change—Mike is still a devoted Kansas State fan.

Lunette Kovatch

Lunette Kovatch
Navarre, Florida
I was employed as Secretary/Dispatcher with CopyCorp in 1987, after interviewing  with Susan Rixman, Norma Niev and Vice President Bruce Jennings.  Norma was leaving Dispatch to be his Admin. Asst and I was her replacement.

Gene, Lunette, Ken, Steve, Sid @ Christmas 1989
It worked out well for me and I was hired to work for Ken Brown, Service Manage and after a while became ” Lead Dispatcher” until I was assigned my most favorite position, “Company Receptionist” where I greeted visitors and answered the phone.  I worked in that position until I retired in April of 2005.

Gene and I had the pleasure of going on a couple of Presidents Club trips that I won.  We also won trips to Nashville, Gatlinburg, and a very exciting trip to Kentucky Speedway where we rode in NASCAR Vehicles around the track (that was pure fun)!

Gene and I moved from Maryland in 1966 with our 2 children David and Melody, they went to school in Jefferson County and after graduation, they were married and movedMelody, married and 2 children live in New Orleans. And David moved to Dallas and he has 3 children.

Renewing Vows on Navarre Beach 2010
Gene retired from Jefferson County Schools in the fall of 2005 and we prepared to move permanently to our home in Navarre, Florida. We had purchased the home in 2003 as our retirement home. Finally, in the spring of 2006 we finished moving and put our Louisville home of 40 years up for sale, we were lucky and it sold that summer.

We Love it here in Navarre, Gene has become involved with the Fire Department and works as a Volunteer in a Primary School Library (this year he was named Volunteer of the year for Santa Rosa County).  I am on the Board for the Friends of the Navarre Library and help them run the bookstore in our Navarre Public Library, I am also a Docent in the Panhandle Butterly House.

In June of 2010 Gene and I Celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary and renewed our vows on the Beach with family and Friends.

*9/12/18 - Mickey and Billie Higdon took a short vacation to the Panhandle of Florida this week and while there made contact with Lunette and Gene, they are doing good but Lunette had a medical issue in her legs over the past couple of years but after an intense rehab schedule she is doing good, happy to be driving again! Both Gene and Lunette were happy to hear from Mickey!

1/1/26 We have tried to call, email and text Lunette many times over the past years to no avail.     Jim

I worked with Copy Corporation for 9 years in Louisville (’93 to ’01) and my managers were Tony Williams, Doug Roser, John Karrer, and Jim Voll.

Prior to Copy Corp, I was a printer technician for Laser Images, and I am currently working at the Kentucky Truck Plant as a Hardware Technician.

Stephanie and Lance
Stephanie Hodges and I have been married for 19 years.  We have two wonderful children, Dylan (19) a freshman at UL and Devan (14) who is in her first year of High School. I am very proud of them both!

I really enjoyed working at CopyCorp.
It was my first real job.  I was getting my Associate degree in electronic technology as a co-op student while working with Copy Corporation.

Copy Corp has made me what I am today. I learned so much from the management and my peers.  My experience with Copy Corp gave me very strong work ethic, team participation and taught me how to treat customers properly.

Management made work fun, from the fishing tournaments, Christmas parties and dinners to the golf scrambles.  It was awesome!  Even just having lunch with the co-workers was great. We were a team that was never shy of letting the others know of their mistakes and their accomplishments!  This relationship really made for one heck of a team!  Copy Corp always has a very special place in my heart that will last forever.

I love to fish, horse racing and collect any and all Derby bottles.

Bill's new truck 8/2013
Bill was the first branch manager/salesperson/service rep (everything) in the Evansville office of CopyGraphics (CopyCorp).  We had a two room office in Evansville, where Bill worked and did everything from that location.  He was the only sales rep, the only person to set-up of the equipment, Bill delivery and service when needed.  As we grew and needed additional storage space for paper, toner and supplies, it was all stored in Bills garage, at his home.  Bill did it all, he had experience from Xerox as a service tech, but was very creative and could do anything.  With his "gift of gab" he was a natural sales person.  Bill was very responsible, hard working and creative, I remember he made our first "professional" truck ramps which we used until we could afford a "truck lift" which was a number of years later.  Today, Bill drives all over North America for KL Chempak Company out of Lester, PA and hauls Liquids/Gases, Chemicals, Commodities Dry Bulk and HAZMAT (Hazardous Materials)
